2020 Stratford-Salariya Winner Announcement!

We are delighted to announce the results of the 2020 Stratford - Salariya Picture Book Prize! We had an incredible, record-breaking number of entries and somehow managed to whittle entries down to a final eight, and then our winners! We had such a tough time choosing between two entries so thought, instead of having just one winner, we will have two!

Congratulations to Jo Surman for her written and illustrated entry, 'Snow?', and Kael Tudor for his written entry, 'One Goose, Two Moose'. Both stories were thoroughly enjoyed by our judging panel and we are extremely pleased that Jo and Kael will share the prize.

The competition, which has been running now for four years, welcomes authors who have a wonderful story to tell and illustrators who can create charming images, suitable for children aged 0-5. The cash prize of £1,000 will be split equally between the two winners, they will receive career advice from United Agent's Jodie Hodges and there is a potential that their work may be published under our very own 'Scribblers' imprint.

Two runners-up were also recognised for their work, Jacqueline Waller for 'Bare Bernard' and Adelaide Leeder for 'The Hole Thing'.

Thank you again to everyone who entered the competition and congratulations to all of our shortlisted entrants once more.
